James and personal trainer Mike Mancias
According to TA reporters Joe Vardon, Mike Vorkunov and Sam Amick, investigators from a law firm commissioned by the NBA are expected to ask at least 10 Lakers employees for information such as mobile phones and call records.
League insiders revealed that Lakers assistant trainer Mike Mancias and administrative director Randy Mims have voluntarily handed over their mobile phones to cooperate with the investigation. Both of them are employed by the Lakers due to their close relationship with James. The new round of review will focus on their connection with Jones.
Mancias, 48, has been James' personal trainer for about 20 years, and Mims, 50, has had a close relationship with James since he was a high school student in Akron, Ohio.
