Before the game, Warriors coach Cole accepted an interview with reporters. Talking about the death of legendary coach Lanny Wilkens, he said: "He was really a great person, incredible. What I remember most is his dignity. You know, he was a very dignified person who showed great leadership through a kind of calm confidence."
In the 2-4 seasons of Kerr's playing career, he played for the Cavaliers, and Wilkens was the head coach at the time.
