According to famous reporter Marc Stein, Jazz and Love have not had serious discussions on the contract buyout.
Stein wrote: "The Jazz and Love have not had serious discussions on the contract buyout. League members generally believe that Love is determined to play for a team that can compete in the playoffs at this stage of their career. However, it is usually necessary to determine where the buyout will go (the next home) before this matter will go through the next level."
Kevin Love's contract will expire in the 2025-26 season, with a salary of $4.2 million this season. This will be his 18th season in the NBA.
