Before the El Clasico, Barcelona midfielder Fermin revealed in an interview with TV3 that Real Madrid also wanted to sign him when he was a child.
Fermin said that now his confidence has reached its peak, and so has the entire Barcelona team: "How much confidence do you have? What is the full score? 10 points. We are Barcelona, a great team."
Talking about the mood in the locker room, Fermin said: "We are all Desire to win, but the season is still long and we know that this game is very important for us and all Barcelona fans, and the result will depend on the subtleties."
Fermin did not comment on Real Madrid's controversial penalty, nor did he talk about Vinicius' provocative behavior. He said the team should not be distracted by such things and should focus on their work.
In the interview, Fermin revealed that Real Madrid also wanted to sign him when he was a child, but his father refused without asking him for his opinion because he knew that Fermin's dream was to play for Barcelona: "I did receive an invitation from Real Madrid, but my father didn't tell me much. But if he asked me for my opinion, I would still choose Barcelona because that is my dream. I am very happy to realize this dream and hope that I can stay with this team for many years."
Fermin also praised teammate Pedri in the interview: "It is a pleasure to play with him. He is a very good player. He will leave his mark on the club and the entire football world. We have a good relationship, not only because of his outstanding performance on the court, but also because he is a very good teammate. I hope to play alongside him for many years in the future."
