In the first round of the Bundesliga, Leverkusen lost 1-2 to Hoffenheim at home. After the game, Leverkusen goalkeeper Fleken accepted an interview with the media.

"The game is not useless, but there are not many good places. We play sometimes, but our offensive organization lacks speed. We make too many mistakes - simple mistakes, which prevent us from entering the rhythm we need today to break through Hoffenheim's defense."

"Ultimately, it's obvious that our biggest chance of scoring comes from set pieces. When there is no gap in the opponent's defense, it's hard to push forward and pass the ball to Hick, and it's hard to break through their defense. So, from my point of view, I think we need to reflect on ourselves more than to over-examination of the opponent's performance."

"Echeviri just joined the team and has only trained with us twice before. How tacit can we have? It takes time, we can only ask the fans to be more patient and put in 100% of their efforts internally to make a good performance on the court as soon as possible."
