After being removed from the captain position by the Polish head coach, Lewandowski announced his withdrawal from the national team. His former agent, Kuzhaski, who has worked with the player for many years, talked about his views in an interview with Polish media Meczyki.

"I actually expected Lewandowski and his team to make such a decision. When I saw the Polish Football Association announce the revocation of his captainship, my first reaction was that Lewandowski was going to withdraw from the national team, and it did happen. I felt great naivety and immature in this whole incident. To be serious, I think Lewandowski may no longer play for the Polish team because of this decision."

"I think this decision was caused by the increasing tension. I think Probildz saw that he was losing control of the locker room. He noticed that the internal atmosphere was not conducive to motivating the motivation and determination of the players, especially after Lewandowski and his team made such a decision. In my opinion, it was beyond the scope of affordability. I think Probildz hopes to establish his authority among the players. This decision was not made by himself, but was supported and endorsed by the Polish Football Association."
