Foot Mercato reported that Lyon has not received an official downgrade notice and is unable to appeal.

Being demoted to Ligue 2 due to financial problems, Lyon Club obviously wants to file a complaint against this decision, but all the current procedures of the team are stalled because the club has not received formal notices of punishment and specific basis documents so far, which are essential materials for initiating the appeal process. Despite repeated urging, Lyon management has remained passively waiting since Tuesday night, which has forced delays in its defense preparations.

The club has established a crisis response team and is developing a counterattack strategy. One of the controversy concerns the sale of shares of Crystal Palace by holding company Ares, which was supposed to bring 40 million euros of revenue to Lyon by September. But DNCG refused to accept the written commitment and asked for immediate funding guarantee. Currently, Lyon is still trapped in this administrative process that may have a significant impact on its athletic and fiscal future.
