In the 1/8 final of the Club World Cup, Dortmund beat Monterrey 2-1 and won the last quarterfinals. After the game, Dortmund coach Kovac and Dortmund goalkeeper Kober were interviewed by FIFA respectively.

■About Gilasi and Adeyemi's perfect match in this game

Kovac said: "In this game, we used a double striker formation, and we also hope to add some speed elements to the offense. We know that Ramos is 39 years old, but he is still a top player, but obviously he is not as fast as Adeyemi. This is exactly what we want to do, use Adeyemi's speed to hit their defense."

"You can tell from the second goal that we made a deep pass, Adeyemi made a beautiful run, and then passed the ball to Gilasi, and finally he finished the goal. Our intention was to attack the space behind the opponent's defense. We did a little better in the first half than in the second half, but I think this tactical idea is correct."

■For young forward star Adeyemi, Kovac firmly believes that he has more room for improvement.

"Adeyemi is a top player, and I hope he can run more in-depth because he is so fast. There are not many players in the world who have his speed. Sometimes he retreats too frequently to catch the ball, which is not what I want to see. So I have been urging him because I really appreciate him as a player. He just needs to do what the coach says."

■Kober also praised Gilasi and Adeyemi's outstanding performance.

Kober said: "Adeyemi's speed is incredible, and Gilasi is like a goal machine in front of the goal. Gilasi is a natural scorer. Of course, Adeyemi can score by himself, but his speed is too fast and too threatening. Many teams have to concentrate on guarding him, which also gives Gilasi more space, so I think this pair is really ideal."
