Laporta: We send players to the national team and investment in youth training should not be included in fair play rules

Barcelona President Laporta expressed his views on the recent controversy caused by players being released to participate in national team games and proposed a plan.

Laporta said: "Those clubs that send players to the Spanish national team do so because they have made outstanding contributions in the field of youth football. It is unacceptable that investment in youth training affects the club's 'fair play' rules. It is unfair. This is not to make money."

"It is understandable that we use our own players to provide strength to the national team, but this investment should not be counted as fair play. UEFA has done this, but we haven’t here yet, and it’s worth studying.”

“My only concern is that the national team can properly manage and take care of our players, and I hope that everything will be normal. We are used to various rumors about Yamal being injured. Players from other teams often encounter this situation, but no one says anything.”
