This morning, Clippers boss Ballmer appeared on the ESPN program "SportsCenter" and had a conversation with the well-known female reporter Ramona Shelburne.
After reviewing the company's financial statements and business plans, Ballmer said he was "embarrassed" at his failure to find out.
"I reviewed, and my team mainly reviewed false financial statements. Now, should I smell the problem? Maybe I was embarrassed and a little stupid because I didn't notice it, but I really didn't." Ballmer said.
"These people were guilty of fraud. Look, they lied to me. They really lied to me. I think the investment was open and honest, but at this stage they lied to me. I didn't have the ability to predict why they did these things, let alone a specific contract with Leonard. I made the investment. Many other smart investors didn't notice these problems either," Ballmer continued.
