Recently, former Lakers coach and current Mavericks assistant coach Vogel accepted an interview with TA Lakers team reporter Dan Woike and talked about winning the championship in the Lakers campus.
Vogel recalled: "At that time, it was just playing games and making video calls. It was the peak moment of my coaching career, and I have never returned to the top since then!
"Our team was together almost every day that year, because we had to be. Every team I coached after that, I would share with them what that time meant for team cohesion and try to replicate that feeling outside of the park, eating together on the road, having dinner together at home, anything that could bring the team together was worth doing. The same goes for everyday things – nothing to do on Monday night? ‘Then let’s watch Monday Night Football as a team! '
"At that time, everyone was together, referees, reporters, media, league staff, players, everyone. It was probably the strangest period in the history of the world. And we all experienced it together and groped forward together."
