Retired French goalkeeper Mandanda returned to Marseille's home court this week and accepted the club's tribute ceremony.
Before Marseille's game against Le Havre, Mandanda received a commemorative jersey from current captain Bardi and former teammate Niang and kicked off the game.
At the ceremony, Marseille Club officially announced that it will permanently retire the No. 30 jersey that Mandanda wore for 14 seasons with the team in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
Mandanda's career in Marseille is legendary. He played a total of 613 games for the team and completed 195 clean sheets. Among them, his 177 clean sheets in Ligue 1 are the highest record since the 21st century. He is also the player who has played the most Ligue 1 games for Marseille since the 1947-48 season.
